No. 915 Union Trust Building,
Detroit, Michigan,
October 22nd.,1906.

My Dear Tom:--

Your good letter of September thirtieth came during my recent absence, and after examining your Powers of Attorney given to Colonel Hecker and myself, the Union Trust Company has decided that instead of following the suggestion made in your letter, they would prefer a Power of Attorney directly from yourself. Hance has had a form prepared and I am sending same to you herewith. I think it will meet with your approval and if you will be good enough to sign the same at your early convenience and return it directly to Hance it will expedite matters. Your securities have all been checked against the records and found in perfect order. The bonds, stocks, deeds, et cetera will be delivered to the Union Trust Company to-morrow and the cash on hand will also be turned over to the Trust Company. This will put them in full possession of everything but your Power of Attorney on the morning of the twenty-fourth instant.
