I quite understand now that your prospectus has been issued that it is too later to suggest a change of rules, but I do feel that the conditions attached to the prizes are likely to lead to a wrong impression in the public mind concerning the comparative artistic excellence of the exhibits. Perhaps it might be well to state in the catalogue that certain works are not entered in the prize competition.

Because of the long distance which my paintings will have to travel I must ask that they be insured at least during transportation, and I fancy the expense would not be very largely increased if the insurance were continued during the exhibition. Will you kindly advise me on this matter?

Very truly yours,
Charles L Freer
