Dear Mr. Morse:-

I am glad to know that Mrs. Morse and yourself will make it a point to meet Mr. and Mrs. Colburn at your convenience. The lady is delightful in many ways and free of false side and the many little objections which happen to so many otherwise estimable ladies.

I appreciate the loneliness of your home and how much Junior is missed. He was such a manly boy and at that interesting age which not only amuses and inspires, but also mystifies. I have a nephew of about the same age who is never twice alike and who amuses and entertains me tremendously. I wish that more men could retain the charm of boyhood.

I am glad that yourself and Mrs. Morse have planned to go to New Haven and I trust that Miss Watson will be able to accompany you. Shall you go on to Boston for a day or two to see some of the things in the Museum? Mr. McLean, who is in charge of the Japanese Department, is really very obliging and I am sure will take special pains in showing
