Miss Mary Knapp,
Detroit, Michigan.

Dear Madam:-

It is a pleasure to tell you how thoroughly pleased I am with the work you have been doing at my home during the past Summer and to congratulate you upon the manner in which you have mingled with your associates. Your relations with the other servants have been most amiable and the work allotted to you has been performed in a most cheerful and efficient manner. I regret that the closing of my house for several months necessitates a change in your occupation and I am hoping that you will find a satisfactory place in some good family. I hope you will use this letter in looking for a new position, and you may say to your future employer that I will gladly answer any inquiries they may make concerning you. I most cheerfully testify to your honesty, efficiency and capacity for all sorts of domestic work.

Wishing you success, I remain,

Yours respectfully,
Charles L. Freer
