Kingston and shall probably reach New York on Tuesday morning, the thirteenth instant. I may have to go to Philadelphia Tuesday afternoon and return at about midnight of the same day. Now, I can plan to be with you any hour you may select on Wednesday the fourteenth instant, or at, say, nine thirty o'clock Thursday morning the fifteenth instant. Kindly drop me a line letting me know which time will suit you best.

I am anticipating a very fine Winter, and you, I suppose, have put yourself in splendid condition for your usual Winter's work.
