No. 33 Ferry Avenue,
Detroit, Michigan,
November 8th.,1906.

The bearer hereof, MR. RYER RYERSON, has been in my employ as butler and valet for one month and his services are now dispensed with because of the closing of my house for a number of months.

Mr. Ryerson is attentive, polite and a hard worker. He is strictly honest and has done his valeting very satisfactorily. He has not had wide experience as a butler, but is extremely anxious to learn the duties thoroughly, and I feel that with a little more training he will do very satisfactory work. His disposition is excellent and he is very popular with his fellow workers. In a family where he could have a little careful training and advice he would, I am sure, give perfect satisfaction.

The modification in this testimonial is not to be construed into the suggestion that he is without training, but it is simply to advise anyone who employs him that because of his youth and short experience he should receive some little coaching before he could be expected to perform his work quite as perfectly as an older man naturally would, With the conditions named, I most cheerfully recommend him as a man who will within a week or so be able to take charge in a position of responsibility.
