Too bad Mr. Eyre's letter and drawings which were received on Friday last, did not reach here before you left. I have told Mr. Eyre that I would forward them to you.

I received the three letters with enclosures written from New York before you sailed and understand all you say.

The package of photographs which you sent from Mr. Riley's were received in good order on Saturday.

Mr. Tryon wrote me a letter enclosing his bill for the two pastels and accordingly I sent him a New York draft for seven hundred dollars ($700.00) in payment of same on Saturday.

We let the one hundred shares of "Amalgamated" go on Thursday at one hundred and twelve, and there is now in banks a balance of about fifteen thousand dollars.

Stephen reports everything quiet at the house. Mary and Minnie finished Saturday and Mary tells me that she has accepted service in the household of Mr. E. D. Stair, Corner of Woodward Avenue and Davenport Street. Stephen has everything out of the house into the new part and the pots taken from the Peacock Room.
