Miss Rhoda Mason Tucker,
1310 St. Andrew Street,
New Orleans, Louisana. [[Louisiana]]

Dear Madam;-
In the absence of Mr. Charles L. Freer, I beg leave to acknowledge the receipt of a package which has come by registered mail, enclosing a letter addressed to him and five photographs or paintings.

Mr. Freer is traveling in the Orient, being now about to start from Egypt to Ceylon, and does not expect to return to Detroit before next summer.

In view of his long absence, I assume that you would wish me to return to you, the photographs.

I would say, however, that Mr. Freer's collection is confined to Oriental and American paintings, and feel sure that he would not consider the purchase of those you refer to.

However, with my next letter to him which will be sent in a few days, I shall enclose your communication, and in the meantime, await your evidence as to the photographs.

Very truly yours,
JM Kennedy
