Gentlemen:-
They two cases containing the articles purchased by Mr. Freer, before he sailed for the Orient, were delivered at Mr. Freer's residence on Saturday afternoon, last, and everything found to be in good order. In addition to the articles invoiced, the case contained some fine thin paper in which to roll kakemono, for which I know, you have Mr. Freer's thanks; also an object used for rubbing India ink on.

I take pleasure in handing you enclosed herewith Mr. Freer's check on the Guaranty Trust Company of New York, for $8,500.00, in payment of the invoice of November 13th, 1906.

Kindly receipt and return the enclosed voucher to me.

I trust Mr. Ushikubo's illness is progressing favorably and that he will soon be about fully recovered.

A cablegram received from Mr. Freer on Saturday, informs us, he is sailing from Egypt to Ceylon to-day.

Very truly yours,
JM Kennedy
