In the absence of Mr. Charles L. Freer, I beg leave to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 21st instant addressed to him.

Mr. Freer is traveling in the Orient and does not expect to return home for some months.

I do not know of a photograph of Mr. Thayer’s "Virgin", purchasable.
