My dear Sir:-

I am this morning in receipt of your letter of 5th inst., stating that you would like, for your forthcoming Dewing and Tryon Exhibition, the two pictures by Mr. Dewing which Mr. Freer got last season.

I assume that the two pictures desired are the following oil paintings:

"La Comedienne". Upright 19 1/2 x 15 3/4
"Mandoline". Upright, 9 1/4 x 6.

Mr. Freer, just before sailing for the Orient, wrote me fully of the matter and that I would hear from you when you desired the pictures.

As the time is so short in which to pack and get the pictures to you by the 14th inst., will you kindly reply by return mail if the two pictures named are the right ones, or if you think best, wire me upon receipt hereof.

Very truly yours,
J M Kennedy

P. S. The two pictures and the one which Col. Hecker is sending, will be packed by Mr.Freer's man, and will go to Budworth in one shipment.
