There are being delivered to the American Express to-day, three cases containing oil paintings, as follows:-

Case No. 1. "Mandoline", by Mr. Dewing. Ins. Val. $1500.00
Case No. 2. "La Comedienne", by Mr. Dewing. "    " $1500.00
both loaned by Mr. Charles L. Freer, and
Case No. 3. "Autumn Afternoon", by Mr.Tryon.Ins.Val.$3500.00
loaned by Col. Frank J. Hecker.

These cases will go by American Express this evening, marked to W.S. Budworth & Son, 424 West 52d St., New York City, insured to New York for an aggregate amount of $6500.00, with the transportation and insurance charges collect.  And as stated in my last telegram, will you be good enough to cover the pictures with insurance from the time of their arrival in New York until their return here, at the amount named above?

The three paintings have been well packed by Mr. Freer's man, and I trust they will reach you in good condition and in ample time for your requirements.

Will you be good enough to write me upon their receipt, and greatly oblige.
