Dear Sir:-
I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 12th inst., addressed to Mr. Charles L. Freer.
Mr. Freer is traveling about in the Orient, and does not expect to return home before June, next. As Mr. Freer's collection is confined to the works of American artists, I feel sure he would not consider the purchase of the five paintings, the photographs of which were enclosed in your letter. However, I shall be writing Mr. Freer in a day or two, and will enclose your letter therein.
             Very truly yours,
 Jim Kennedy
