Mr. F.E. Deremus,
Care, E.I. du Pont de Nemorus Powder Co.,
P.O. Drawer 1001, Wilmington, Del.

Dear Sir:-

Your letter of the 26th ult. addressed to Mr. Charles D. Freer, was opened by me in Mr. Freer's absence. Mr. Freer is traveling about in the Orient, and does not expect to return home before June, next. I feel sure, however, he would not consider the purchase of the Gainsborough referred to.

I shall be writing Mr. Freer in a day or two, and will enclose therewith, your letter.

Yours truly,

J M Kennedy
