Howard Mansfield, Esq.,
21 West 36th St.,
New York City.

Dear Mansfield:-

A package of Whistler etchings arrived this morning from my London agent. The lot contains one impression of W 187 Murano-Glass Furnace, which is signed by Whistler, and is a trifle earlier than the impression in my collection. I do not know whether my agent obtained it from Theobald collection. It seems to me a desirable print, and it was in accordance with the desire which you expressed to me sometime ago. The price is 90 pounds, and I beg to inquire if you would like to purchase it. It would be a pleasure to turn it over to you, but do not think of having it unless it would give you satisfaction in every way. I am perfectly willing to keep it in my own collection, ot I can, I am sure, dispose of it very easily.

I am leaving for New York this afternoon, and shall be at the Bellmont on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Should you wish to chat with me about the print we can do it by phone, or perhaps we may have the pleasure of meeting.

Very sincerely yours,
(Signed) Charles L. Freer.
