New York 22, New York.
August 29th., 1950.

Dear Miss Bragazzi:

Please excuse this substitute for the firm's letterhead paper, but I am writing from the country and the supply I brought with me has been exhausted.

In Mr. Germain Seligman's absence, your letter of the 9th., has been forwarded to me.

We have sold many fine MATISSEs of which we have records in New York. However, as the gallery is closed for the month of August, and Mr. Seligman himself will return from Europe about the 10th. of September, I hope Mr. Barr will understand the unavoidable delay in gathering together the data which we will be able to submit for his biography on the artist.

Before closing may I say how horrified I have been to find almost three weeks have elapsed since the date of your inquiry. I cannot say whether it reached my hands later than it should, or whether I have been negligent - time goes so quickly!

Yours very sincerely,

Mrs. T. D. Parker
