Room at my boarding house was entered. Trunk broken open & from room & Trunk $50. worth of clothing was taken. A colored woman was seen leaving the room with a bundle. Said she had been to see Miss Kate but she was not there. Was obliged to close school to investigate the affair. No clue to the thief yet discovered.
