I wired you yesterday afternoon before four o'clock, care Miller House, Great Barrington, the following telegram, which Western Union advises was not received there until after you left at eight this morning, and, owing to the lateness of the hour to-day, I have telegraphed Professor Fischer that in your absence, we would be pleased to receive and show him the Collection. Have you any instruction for Stephen on this?

"Professor Adolf Fischer, Scientifical Attache of German Legation in Peking, wires from Chicago: 'Permit kindly to me and Mrs. Fischer to see your famous collection next Saturday. Please kindly telegraph answer, Auditorium'".
