Dear Sir:-

Your letter of November 26th is received and fully noted. I am very glad that my previous letter explained to your satisfaction certain matters concerning mutual friends which you had misunderstood.

I note with interest what you have written concerning the plate with figures, the Egyptian Flower Pot and the Rakka Luster Jar. These are doubtless very important specimens and naturally I should like to own them, but for the present I must deny myself the pleasure of making further purchases. The strain upon finances throughout the United States is very extraordinary. Money is scarcer here than I have ever known it to be before, and until business revives and money becomes easier I must curtail my outlay. This, I am sure, you will understand.

Believe me,

Yours very truly,
Charles L. Freer
