Dear Miss Birnie-Phillip:-

I enclose herewith the following correspondence had with the Ralph Fletcher Seymour Company, of Chicago, Illinois, concerning the pirated edition of the "Ten O' Clock":

1 The original letter received from Mr. Seymour, dated December 24th.
2 A copy of my reply thereto, dated December 26th.
3 A note received from Mr. Seymour, dated December 30th.
4 A letter received from Mr. Seymour, dated January 3rd.
5 A copy of my reply to said letter, dated January 6th.
6 A letter of apology to yourself from Mr. Seymour, dated January 3rd.

The above correspondence will advise you of the matter as it now stands. Mr. Seymour apologizes to you and is holding the unsold copies of the pirated "Ten O' Clock" subject to my order. He also agrees to recover as many as possible of the few copies of the pirated edition which have already left his possession.
