Dear Mr. Binyon:-

You will, I trust, pardon this typewritten letter, which is occasioned by the pressure of many matters. I am glad to hear that your book on Oriental Art is finished, and I shall look forward with keen anticipation, for its appearance. I hope it will be placed within the reach of American readers. It seems to me that the number of people in this Country interested in Oriental Art is increasing rapidly.

I am much pleased to send you, under separate cover, photographs of the Ririomin and the Godoshi copy, as requested. Along with them, I am enclosing a photograph of a second Rakan - one of the sixteen in my possession by Ririomin, which I believe you will enjoy. Notice its superb line, spacing and force. The color of the original is delightful.

I am glad you found Professor Fenollosa's article interesting. I wish he could be induced to continue a series of similar articles.
