In order that you may know something about the subject of the picture before determining what step to take, I am sending you, under separate cover, a photograph of the exhibit of Whistler's work made by the International Society at Knight's Bridge, London, during the Summer of 1899. The oval picture at the left of the group shown in the photograph is the one referred to in Miss Birnie-Philip's letter. When you have finished with both the letter and the photograph, kindly re-mail them to my address.

For your information, I have marked the present ownership of four of the pictures shown in the photograph.

If I can render you any further assistance in this matter, do command me.

Believe me,

Very sincerely yours,
Charles L Freer
