My dear Mr. Mayer:-
I am at last geeting ready to re-mount my Etchings and Lithographs by Whistler in permanent form, and before doing so, I wish to consult you on the following points:

1. What size of card-board would you suggest?

2. What quality of card-board would you use for both the top and bottom of the mountings?

3. What color would you suggest?

4. What material would you use for hinging mountings together, and what material would you use for hinging the prints to the back of the mounts?

Who are the best makers of mounting boards in England? Can you send me samples, together with prices?

My own belief is Whistler's Etchings and Lithographs look better in plain white mountings than in those of various faint tints. How do you feel about it?

Thanking you in advance for any suggestions you may make, I remain, with kind regards,
Very sincerely yours,
Charles L Freer
