Mr. D. J. R. Ushikubo,
Care, Yamanaka & Company,
254 Fifth Avenye,
New York, N. Y.

My dear Mr. Ushikubo:-
Your letter of January 29th is received, and I am glad to know that the Peacock has arrived. I intend this for Mr. Abbott H. Thayer, who lives at the small village of Monadnock, near Dublin, N. H., and I do not, at present, know exactly what the proper shipping directions are, but I will write him to-day and as soon as I hear from him, I will advise you, giving shipping instructions, together with the name of the Express Company to use.

The name of the paste I use in repairing Kakemono, Screens, &c, is SECCOTINE. It comes in small tubes and can be purchased from druggists in New York, I fancy. Should you have any trouble in getting it, I can order it for you.
