I am this morning in receipt of your two letters written on the fourteenth, and note that you will be detained in New York until Wednesday or Thursday next, and that you have drawn against the Guaranty account, the amount of Mr. Bendann's cheque.

I forgot to state in my letter written on Saturday, the receipt of your telegram sent on the 14th instant, the contents of which I notified Stephen and the butler.

Everything quiet at the Office, and trusting you are well, I remain,
Very respectfully yours,
JM Kennedy
