is taking far longer & more time than I had expected; so many alterations & revisions made that hardly a page of the present Edition remains unaltered. I am sure Laurence Binyon must have been delighted with his visit to you and his first experience of the States must have been a delight as it is to any one who has the good fortune to have good friends & so be shown the best of a fine country. I hope to leave here with my friend Mason abt 10 April & via Korea & Siberia get home 2 May; it will be a novel experience for him to be home after 38 years absence. Then we two will go across from England about end of September and he will return here via San Francisco about end of November.

We have had so far a lovely winter, bright sunny days and freezing at nights but I expect we will pay for it and February is not generally good here.

I enclose a criticism on the Fenellosa [[Fenollosa]] book which may interest you, it is written by a Persian, who is a Christian missionary Rev'd Isaac Dooman and he has a very great opinion of his own learning & judgment.

With very best regards & please remember me to Mrs. Stephen.

Yrs very sincerely

J. Orange
