Mann & McMorris, merchants of Galveston, Dec. 10. 1866. as follows: "In accordance with your request of this date we are pleased to hand you the following statement. Prior to notice served on us by your Dept. seventy nine bales of the cotton referred to were shipped by us to New York for a/c of John S. Penrice. Charges, on which, as per enclosed memorandum, amt to $2766.83 Amt paid Mr. Penrice 8328.70 10095.53. We drew on Shipment 11201.81 Bal to credit of Mr. Penrice $106.28.
