Respectfully referred to Capt Reinhard SA Comr
at Centreville Leon Co Texas who will call upon Capt Bradford 26th Inft & with him assess the damage done to f.m. upon the Cissna plantation for loss of property and time &c - and sell property of Burroughs sufficient to cover the whole, also assess a fine of $200- for each adult killed and pay the same with the amount of damages to the respective families i.e. the amount assessed for damaged will be paid to the head of each family so damaged & the fine will be paid to the family of each deceased man_
Should Capt Bradford decline acting with you, you will proceed in the matter yourself_
A thorough strict and immediate execution of this order is required. Call upon Capt Bradford for force necessary to carry out provisions of this Order if required in Accordance with Genl Orders No 21 series of 1866 Hd Qrs Dept of Texas a copy of which is enclosed

Respectfully fowarded to Capt George Smith Sub-Asst Comr at Seguin Texas. who will collect the wages of the girl within mentioned and the same pay her fare to this city, and the balance if any send to Genl Doubleday S.A.C at Galveston; If there be no wages due the girl her father upon request to Genl Doubleday will send money to pay her fare here_

Respectfully returned to Lt Kirkman AAA Genl.
Mr J M Stephenson had performed a charitable act in taking care of that poor old palsied woman, it was my intention to urge it upon the chief Justice of the County at the next session of the Probate Court to have a sum of money appropriated to compensate Mr Stephenson for expenses and trouble I think he deserves it_
