"Respectfully forwarded to Comr B.R.F. &c at Washington D.C. for decision and action. with the statements that never having been relieved from order dated Oct. 30th 1866. Head Quarters Dept of Gulf to proceed to New Orleans without delay, said order being transmitted thro. Head Quarters at Galveston, and being ordered by said Head Quarters to proceed to Baltimore for final discharge and payment. The journey was  , and Belleville was but little if any out of the way of my return - All papers relative to my Muster-out are on file in A.G.O. Washington D.C
