Respectfully returned to Bvt. Lt Col. Wm S. Abert, A.A.A.G. Dist of Texas with the request that a non Commissioned Officer and two men of this detachment be permanently detailed for duty with Wm H. Rock. S.A.C at Richmond. Texas, and that they be allowed commutation for their rations. Also that the remainder of the Detachment be ordered to join their Company.
