Respectfully forwarded to H'd Q'r's B.R.F & A.L., Galveston Texas. with the request that Charles Schmidt be appointed Clerk in this office to fill the vacancy caused by the death of L.J. Warner. I have been unable to attend to any business, connected with the Bureau since the death of Warner in consequence of having no clerk.
