demanded by the owners I had not bought them. But Mr. Yue, desiring to show his appreciation of your kind treatment eventually bought them notwithstanding it was rather beyond the ordinary value. Mr. Yue's financial position is now very pressing and so I hope that you will, in view of his difficulty, be kind enough to help him through to the end.

I have been offering high prices for good articles of old drawings but very few have been met with. For the last two years I have so far been able to get ten pieces or so of good articles. If you are likely to require more drawings in your Museum, please let me know and I will send you what I have for your consideration in order to prolong our friendship to the last and have my name also known to your people for generations to come.
