Dear Sir:

After laying very careful plans, we have made a tentative estimate for the manufacture of 1,000 copies of a fully illustrated Book of Pottery as follows:

Pages
72 pages (40 pages of catalog matter, 32 pages general text); 10 full-page color plates, right hand pages only, 4 pages to be treated with full size reproductions, about 8 x 12-1/2 inches, 6 pages to be treated with reduced reproductions, about 7 x 9 inches, dimensions in both cases to apply to full color treatment, exclusive of backgrounds which are designed to bleed off the edges of page; 30 pages of halftones (5 pages of one cut each, 10 pages of two cuts each, 10 pages of three cuts each, 5 pages of four cuts each) = 75 pictures.

Size
Of paper per page - 12 -1/2 x 16 inches.
Of type page - 6 x 9 inches.

Presswork
To be done in highest style of the art in best black ink only on all type pages on genuine imported Fabriano Hand Made toned paper, all halftones to be printed in black ink only or in one color to be selected, on extra quality and extra weight Dull Finish Cameo Plate paper, all full color plates to be printed on extra quality AA proving paper.

Binding.
Stiff boards covered with Fabriano paper with cloth backs and corners, fronts die stamped with blank panel to carry title in gold lettering, shelf backs also to be stamped in gold leaf.
