33 Ferry Avenue East,
Detroit, Mich.

August 11th, 1913.

My dear Mr. Peters:

Your good letter of the 7th inst. reached me in this morning's mail, and it seems to me that it may be wise to consider whether or not to bind in volume form the proposed catalogue of Chinese and Japanese Pottery. The colored plates are to be so beautiful, and will of necessity be so much examined and enjoyed, that it might be well for us to have them enclosed in portfolio form as they are now doing on the other side. However this is merely a subject for consideration, and I shall take with me to New York a recently published volume so protected.

I am planning now to leave Detroit for Great Barrington, Mass. the latter part of this week, and I could and would gladly attend your meeting of the Committee any day convenient to yourself and other committee-men, after Monday the 18th inst. My address at Great Barrington will be The Berkshier Inn, and the express trains from there to New York City run twice daily, one leaving Great Barrington at about eight o'clock A.M. and the other train at two o'clock P.M. The run is made in a little over three hours. However, should you prefer to have the proposed meeting on Monday the 18th, I would leave here on Saturday, the 16th, to go direct to the New York Plaza Hotel, New York City, arriving there on Sunday morning so as to attend your meeting, if so called for Monday. I fancy the weather is rather hot in New York, so if the meeting should be called for a later date than Monday, I will go from here direct to Great Barrington and meet you in New York on such date as you may appoint.

Trusting that your health remains excellent and that I may have the pleasure of seeing you ere long, believe me

Very sincerely yours,

Mr. Samuel T. Peters,
Washington Bldg.,
#1 Broadway,
New York City.
