December 27th, 1913.

Dear Mr. Peters:

Let me thank you for your kind letter of December 24th.

I am very glad that you find the shipment of Corean and Japanese potteries, sent from my collection, interesting. A telegram received from Yamanaka & Company yesterday advises me that the Chinese specimens have arrived in good condition.

I am hoping to reach New York shortly after the arrival of Mr. Hobson, at which time we can talk over all of the details, including Mr. Hobson's work, and get the ball rolling. I should like to reach the city a couple of days before Mr. Hobson's coming, but my local doctor does not want me to start much before the 12th or 15th of January, depending upon how I am at that time. During the last ten days my strength has been returning most satisfactorily, and it is important that I continue to be very careful for the next two or three weeks.

Mr. Hobson would doubtless be very comfortable at the Plaza Hotel, where I am surer they would take good care of him, but I should think the Vanderbilt a more advantageous location, or perhaps one of the small hotels nearby. Won't you kindly use your own judgment in the matter, securing a place for him at whatever hotel you deem the most desirable. I will most cheerfully approve of and join you in any action you may decide to take in the matter.

With every good wish to yourself and Mrs. Peters for a very Happy New Year. I remain

Very truly yours,

Samuel T. Peters, Esq.,
#1 Broadway,
New York City.
