THE SOCIETY OF ARTS AND CRAFTS

brief acquaintance. We all hoped that our presence in the house was not in itself a disturbance, for we would all have understood had you cancelled the appointment.

Some time, if it is possible, Miss McEwen and I would like to have a little longer opportunity to study the Persian books and M.S.S. - one of which she saw the other day for the first time, and as she is greatly interested, besides being herself a worker in lettering, etc. it would be of immense value to her, and us both to be permitted to really pore over them - shutting our eyes and minds to all else, for all afternoon.

Faithfully yours
Helen Plumb, Sec.
