Detroit, Michigan,
September 23, 1914.

Miss Helen Plumb,
Secretary, Society of Arts and Crafts,
37, Witherell Street,
Detroit,
Michigan.

My dear Miss Plumb:

Replying to your good letter of September 24th: Of course it will afford me pleasure to open my galleries for the inspection of the members of the Society of Arts and Crafts some time during January next, the actual date to be fixed hereafter. I am not likely to be in Detroit at that time but I see no reason at present why the collections may not be viewed by your Society at that time.

Concerning our mutual friend, Mr. Binyon, I have had no definite word from him since July last, at which time he authorized me to make engagements for him at Buffalo, Cleveland and Toledo, the two former cities have asked me to reserve one evening each, and he is to appear in Buffalo November 19th and in Cleveland November 20th. Toledo is not likely to offer him an engagement but Ann Arbor has asked for one evening so it is quite probable that Ann Arbor will profit by Toledo's hesitation. Now, as regards Detroit: Mr. Binyon expects to be here on Sunday, November 22nd, and to have a short visit here before returning
