33 Ferry Avenue, East,
Detroit, Michigan,
December 18th, 1908.

My dear Mr. Trask:

Earlier reply to your letter of December 7th, has been prevented by my absence.

I note from your letter, the understanding you have had with Mr. Melchers concerning the exhibition at your forthcoming show, of the portrait of President Roosevelt, and I need only add, that I shall most gladly co-operate with yourself and Mr. Melchers, in this matter. If it is necessary for you to have an order upon the Corcoran people for the picture and will send me one of your blanks for this purpose, I will be pleased to sign it, or, perhaps, Mr. Melchers has already given instructions to the Corcoran people to ship it to you.

Hoping that I may find it possible to attend the opening of your forthcoming exhibition, and with kindest regards, I remain,

Very sincerely yours,

Charles L. Freer
