Dear Mr. Fisk:-

Absence from Detroit, is my excuse for this late reply to your letters of December 23rd, which in my absence was answered by mr. Kennedy.

Let me  know thank you for the kind attention you have given to the packages of pottery, received for my account,from Vincenzo Marcopoli & Company of Aleppo.  I judge that the pottery is already enroute to the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D. C.  Another and second shipment of pottery is also enroute from Aleppo, consigned to you as before.  On receipt of the same, if you will kindly cable me:  

"Freer,
Detroit,
Pottery received."

at my expense, I will remit for the pottery directly to Vincenzo Marcopoli & Company, and if you will kindly notify Messrs G. W. Wheatley & Company, #23 Regent Street, S. W. to collect and repack the cases received, into one large case, and forward it as before to the -
