Dear Mr. Hopkins:-

I am thinking of having republished for private distribution, an article by Professor Fenollosa, on the -" Collection of Mr. Charles L. Freer." which appeared in the Pacific Era, published in November 1907.  Under separate cover, I am sending to your address, a copy of the magazine containing the article.  Will you kindly examine it, and at your leisure, favor me with your suggestions concerning the best form in which to reprint it?

I can get consent from the present owners of Pacific Era to reprint the article, and can also get the blocks originally used.  I am thinking of adding perhaps, a half dozen additional illustrations, and, I might add, that I have copies of the photographs from which the blocks were made.  Would you recommend the use of the old blocks? or, do you feel that better ones can be made from the photographs?

I would also state, that, fortunately, Professor Fenollosa some time before his death, corrected a number of typo-
