John E. D. Trask, Esq.,
Secretary - Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine ARts,
P h i l a d e l p h i a, Pa.

My dear Mr. Trask:-

Your circular letter of the 4th, inst., enclosing a life member's card for the year 1909, came in this morning's mail, and I thank you sincerely for the compliment.

I have read, with much interest, your circular letter, and the facts stated therein are of much importance.

It seems to me particularly gratifying, that so large a number of people visited your galleries last year. The nature of the exhibitions held; and the series of lectures given, all count for a great deal, and I want to congratulate both yourself and Mr. Lewis, on the splendid efforts you ae making to promote the development and enjoyment of the Fine Arts in America.

Believe me,

Very sincerely yours,
Charles L. Freer
