Mr. Aly-

should attempt to take advantage of me, but I suppose, it takes a long time to discover the truth concerning some of the merchants in Cairo. I understand the pottery belonging to me, is still lying in the care of Thos. Cook & Sons, in New York.

I have written Hatoun, that I shall make no compromise with him - there are just two things for him to do. The first and proper course,is for him to pay the freight and duty as he agreed to do and have Thos. Cook & Sons deliver the pottery at my home in Detroit; the only other honest course, is for him ( Hatoun ) to return to me the seventy pounds sterling and make whatever disposition of the pottery now in New York, which he cares to.

Believe me,

Very Sincerely yours,
Charles L. Freer
