My dear Mrs. Norton:-

You will, I know, pardon this type-written letter which I am sending in the midst of some very interesting experiments now being carried on in my gallery. We are trying to reproduce some of the most illusive Whistlers, by the Lumeire photographic process.

I have written to Mr. Montross, requesting him to forward the group of work, by Dewing and Tryon on approval, and I have also asked him to write you, concerning the exhibiting of these pictures, either in the Albright Gallery, or in the Twentieth Century Club. I feel quite confident, that if the exhibition is not to be kept open too long the artists and Mr. Montross will gladly cooperate.

I hope, that the pictures to be sent you will give you much pleasure, and that in the lot you will find a specimen or specimens worthy of your future care.

Believe me, with kindest messages,
Very sincerely yours,
Charles L Freer
