Yes, progress is being made with the reprint of the Pacific Era article - Adachi's consent, as per copy of his letter enclosed, has been obtained. Mr. Hopkins, of the Marion Press, is preparing an estimate of cost, proposing to make the brochure somewhat like the monograph "Andreas Hofer " which I am forwarding for your examination under separate cover. All of his press and other work is done by hand. My friend, Mr. Charles H. Gaffin of New York, who has had wide experience in fine book illustrating, is inquiring ways and methods for doing the illustrations which I wish to increase in number. I also send you another sample for your consideration; "The functions of the Book Club" printed privately at The University Press, Cambridge. Which do you prefer, Will you at your leisure return the samples and favor me with your criticism. Now, regarding the text, would it be proper to suggest a change in the third to the last paragraph? In this paragraph the good Professor in his affection for me, was over-complimentary.
