Dear Mrs. Maxfeeld:-

Your good letter has just come to hand and I thank you for the same, and for the information given therein.

It pleases me very much, to know that Mrs. Lang is feeling more cheerful and that you and she are enjoying each other's society. I wish you would tell her, that I am getting new estimates of the value of her property, from an expert in Minneapolis whose ability is unquestioned; tell her also, that I have had an estimate made in New York on the value of the coral necklace which I brought with me. I am informed by the experts in New York, that from thirty-five to forty dollars is its full value - I think possibly I might be able to get forty-five or maybe fifty dollars for it. Will you ask her, if I shall sell it for her at about that price? If so, I will dispose of it and send her a check through you.

I am quite sure your husband can give me the number of front feet in Lot 9, Block 2 of Penniman's Addition. I find, that my records do not give this information, and I should like to have it to complete my files.

With kind greetings to yourself and husband, and Mrs. Lang, I remain,
Sincerely yours,
Charles L Freer
