Dear Tryon:-

Your good letter of April 28th, was duly received and enjoyed. I believe with you, that Caffin's brochure will prove very interesting to many, and I think, that when the time comes, it might be well to place copies on sale in several places.

I am glad, that you approve of the plan of sending letters to owners of your pictures, so far as their names can be learned, and to compile the information thus obtained as a partial catalogue of your work to date. The letters will be prepared and send out an early day - they will bear your signature and will ask, that information be sent direct to Mr. Caffin.

I shall be in Detroit until the early part of next week when I go for a day or two to my farm and a day or two in New York, and shall sail for Europe on the 15th, inst. Mr. Caffin who is very methodical, will doubtless get on nicely with his work during my absence. If all goes well with me I shall have a chance to see something of the life of interior China.

I hope, that you will have a very delightful summer and that yourself and Mrs. Tryon will be blessed with a full share of health and all that is worth having.

With cordial greetings to you both, I remain,

Very sincerely yours,
Charles L Freer
