General.

A gentleman is here desiring to start a truly loyal newspaper in this place, but there being no material for the enterprise, except what is in the hands of the old newspaper men of the place, the object cannot be immediately accomplished, without the office abandoned by Gen. Parsons of Waco, could be procured.

The office referred to, was brought to Waco, about the commencement of the rebellion, by a Mr. Parsons of that place, and an intense Southern sheet published therewith. Parsons entered the rebel army, and became a Brigadier General, but has now left the country, and left his property also. I told the gentleman requiring an office, that in all probability you would, in due course of time, seize this property as abandoned, and would rent it, or sell it for the purpose specified. He desired me to write you
