J.M. Odell Esqr.
Judge Co. C. Houston Co.
Judge:
You will please inform me in writing at your earliest convenience the tenor of queries propounded by your Court at its recent session to freed-men applicants for Jurors, whether such questions as "have you ever shod horses for C.S. Soldiers?" "have you ever fed or assisted C.S. Soldiers?" were propounded, if so, by whom? You will further state if any persons (Freedmen) were considered disqualified by the Court in giving an affirmative answer,
Very Respectfully
Your Obedt. Sert.

Sub. Asst. Comm'r.
& Inspector.
