Wallace is now on duty as Judge Advocate of the Military Commission convened in S.O. No. 42 C.S. from these Hd. Qrs. and cannot well be spared. If another officer is to be assigned to the Freedmen's Bureau it would be much better to take some other, as Capt. Wallace is the only officer who has had any experience as Judge Advocate E.H. Powell Lt. Col. 10th USCT Commanding E. & M. 551. Recd. E.D.T. Mch. 24th 1866.
