Personally appeared before Capt. M. McCaffrey Pro. Marshal of Houston "John Briars" (cold) who after being duly sworn deposes and says: I live in Mr Harrisons house & am working for him, on Tuesday the 5th of Septr. as we were going to our work from dinner, I remained in the house, being sick, I was lying in my bed when I was aroused by a shot. i got up & came to the door & saw [[strikethrough]] Mr [[/strikethrough]] Bill running from the house & Mr Harrison run after him, with a pistol in his hand, Mr Harrison shot again at [[strikethrough]] Mr [[/strikethrough]] Bill he was about 20 steps from him. [[strikethrough]] Mr [[/strikethrough]] Bill still kept on running. Mr Harrison shot at him a third time & after that once more, both running.
